The Mastery Cave opens in Cindersap Forest after all five skills reach level 10. From then on, excess skill experience becomes mastery points; farming experience counts at 50%, while the other four skills count at 100%.
Each mastery costs progressively more points: 10,000 for the first, then 15,000, 20,000, 25,000, and 30,000, for 100,000 total. Claim them in any order from the five pillars. The rewards are permanent and include the Iridium Scythe, Heavy Furnace, Mystic Tree Seed, Advanced Iridium Rod, Anvil, and a trinket slot.
Mastery points are excess skill XP earned after all five skills reach level 10. Farming XP counts at 50%; the other skills count at 100%.

Masteries can be claimed in any order. Costs rise with each mastery you claim, so the order is a planning choice rather than a requirement.

Pick the mastery that removes your current bottleneck: Farming for the Iridium Scythe and Golden Animal Crackers, Mining for double gems and the Heavy Furnace, Foraging for Treasure Totems, Fishing for the Advanced Iridium Rod, or Combat for trinkets and the Anvil.
