Timing and practical rules

First place requires 90 points. Bring nine items and cover six categories.
Start with 14 participation points. Each item adds 1–8 points from its actual sell price and quality.
Use the official price/quality table: Normal, Silver and Gold cap at 6; Iridium caps at 8. Quality is not a simple 0–3 bonus.
Earn 30 bonus points if you include items from at least 6 different categories. Categories include: Animal Products, Artisan Goods, Cooking, Fish, Foraging, Fruits, Gems/Minerals, Vegetables.
Quantity points = 2 × item count − 9. Nine items give +9; each empty slot costs 2 points.
Iridium-quality items always score highest
Use items from 6+ different categories for the diversity bonus
Cheese and Wine have quality tiers; Truffle Oil does not.
Legendary fish give high base points but are hard to obtain
Iridium-quality Large Milk/Cheese are easy to get and score well
Prismatic Shard counts as a Mineral/Gem and gives high base points
Each extra item adds 2 quantity points plus its own score.
